Indeed, though I wans't at foss4g my understanding is Victor would be glad to do so. He's just being getting up to speed with the process api and the considerations to have for the library in order to be used in a wider environment than a desktop GIS.
All in all, as the udig integration experiment seems to be consolidating, it would be really great to start helping Victor, at his convenience, to work closer with the geotools community since his work on sextante and gvsig already proved invaluable.
