I'd like to see this in the next GeoServer release, so yes, I need this patch applied to GeoAPI 2.2-SNAPSHOT and GeoTools 2.5.x. I haven't even tried applying it to gt trunk, but of course I'll be happy to resolve any conflicts that pop up.
