jvm crashes when zooming to line geometry

i have the following problem with the streaming renderer in gt-2.5.3:
* Starting the org.geotools.demo.widgets.StreamWidgetsDemo (from unsupported
module)
* just loading a single line geometry (i have attached a shapefile with a line
geometry)
* i zoom into this line over and over again
* when i'm too deep the rendering takes long and then the jvm crashes with a
stack overflow exception :(
I have attached the crash report.
