None that I can think of.
Generally speaking MapContext and friends have been used in GeoServer
(and I believe, in uDig too) just as a static way to define the
aspect of a map, events, context reordering and the like
are there but haven't been put to any good use so I'm not surprised
they are not really up to the task of being usable in an actual
interactive widget.
