Hi,
I went thought the list of modules scheduled to be removed,
and removed those that did not find any objection (as in, not
even the slightest), in particular:

build/dummy/jaxb
build/maven/archetype (thx Jody)
build/maven/build-configs (thx Justin)
build/maven/javamaker
build/maven/unopkg
build/maven/rmic
build/scm/cleanup

modules/extension/openoffice
modules/plugin/epsg-access

modules/unsupported/notifying-collections
modules/unsupported/hsql

Modules that should be removed, but blocked
----------------------------------------

build/maven/jjtree-javacc should be removed,
but for the moment we can't since the cql module
is still in need of it. Mauricio is working on it.

modules/unsupported/repository is scheduled to
be removed, but I can't because two other modules
depend on it: tiles and introduction.
Both are scheduled to be removed, but not right
now.. so I guess I'll have to wait until those
two go the way of the Dodo before removing
repository as well?

Modules still not removed (still under evaluation)
----------------------------------------

The following modules are still in a limbo,
haven't got enough feedback to decide wheter
to remove them or not:

modules/unsupported/mif
modules/unsupported/tiger
modules/unsupported/vpf
modules/unsupported/geomedia
modules/unsupported/gml
modules/unsupported/gml3
modules/unsupported/gpx
modules/unsupported/gpx2

(Justin, what about the GML ones?)

demo/introduction is still around,
but afaik Jody wants to pick some examples
from it before killing it? If not, Jody,
can you just remove it?

Modules that maybe won't be removed
------------------------------------
modules/unsupported/epsg-oracle:
chatting with Jody he told me the module
is functioning and the only thing that
prevents it from going into supported
land is one unit test failing.
However he does not have a Oracle handy
so the module is really without a maintainer.
I know, I know, I'm supposed to be the
Oracle guy... but I really am only because
there is no one else fool enough to
maintain an Oracle module for free.
Bring me someone that _loves_ to work
with Oracle enough to take the modules
and I'll give him maintenance in a nanosecond
(and then go drink a big beer to celebrate).
Is there anyone else interested in picking
epsg-oracle up?

modules/unsupported/example:
Jody said it is useful to just copy in
order to start a new module... Hmmm... well,
aren't all the existing modules the same?
I usually do exactly that, take a working
pom and adapt it when creating a new module.
I would still remove this one... opinions?

Cheers
Andrea
