I had to use it for some exercises during my GIS study the last two years. I think for people needing a picture it is a good way of ordering their thoughts.
The software is easy to use and (important for me) runs on linux. The intension is to visualize and organize your ideas. What you will really put in practice is another thing. So, it is not useful for documenting a roadmap or something else. I serves as a visualization for brainstorming. I think, use it, unless you force other guys to use it too. For my part, I do not like it, other guys are happy with it.
