Proposal from my side:

My partner and me ordered 2 new server boxes. Each box has
32 GB main memory and 2 Shanghai Quad Core 2.4 GHz processors.

The boxes will be configured for failover und running virtual machines.
( KVM or Xen, depending if we choose Ubuntu Server or CentOS). The virtual
machines are connected to the internet.

I planned to denote a linux VM to geotools/geoserver for build jobs with an
IBM SDK 6.
We could also test with other sdks. I also want to install
postgis,db2,oracle,mysql... to activate as many online tests as possible.

Technically, I could also set up a Windows vm (perhaps with a sqlserver). To
make it clear, I am not a friend of the software mafia, but in this
situation I could imagine an exception.

The problem is, that at the moment, I have no Windows and I must look for
it. And, I will not pay for a M$ license. I think, we will find a
possibility. Further I must delegate the admin job to a windows expert. I
did no Windows administration since 10 years and I dont want to restart.

Time frame:
The delivery of the boxes will take at least one month, a second for
configuring (we have to migrate from older boxes). A realistic point in time
is late in august 2009.

So far, so good
