Landon pointed out some references about unit testing GUI code. They emphasise
making the 'presenter' portion of the code as thin as possible and working with
interfaces rather than tightly coupled classes: both of which make mocking and
unit testing a lot easier.
The plan is to refactor the swing module along these lines, increasing the test
coverage. I think this will also make the code easier to understand, apply and
extend by users.
