Actually, the imageio-ext framework provides support for the GeoTIFF format via
the imageio-ext-gdalgeotiff plugin.
However, at GeoTools level, the gt-imageio-ext-gdal doesn't support it.
It would be great to include the gdalgeotiff plugin as part of GeoTools in
order to improve the GeoTIFF support by giving the possibility to use that
enhanced plugin.
