I am not happy with how the internal granule index work the mosaic. It loads
the entire shape in memory and build a JTS index with them. While this is
extremely fast with most msoaics, I see at least two problems:
1> this cannot scale with mosaic of millions of layers
2> it makes it very hard to modify the mosaic granule index.
