Hi List,
these days we are working on handling data available as HDF4, NetCDF, GRIB1.
Part of this work is based on the coverage api developed by Simone some time
ago. They are the base interfaces on top of what we have also developed the
core framework of the ND plugins, the ND metadata as well as the related
Format specific Drivers (HDF4, NetCDF, GRIB1).
In order to get some feedback on them, as well as starting to work in a
public SVN to involve other interested people, we would like to bring them
to unsupported land, out of the build. The format specific drivers (which
need some refactoring/improvements in the internal logics) depend on the
imageio-ext 1.1 which has been deployed on the geosolutions repo (I will
also deploy it on opengeo (being the SNAPSHOT repo) to avoid adding another
repository to the pom).
Provided that we will setup the required background documentation and we
will do a formal request, what do you think about this?
