Hi lim,

The new jdbc datastore architecture has been code named "NG" for "next 
generation". Some of the implementations such as postgis, db2, oracle, 
etc... use the "NG" naming convention for the factory name to prevent 
conflicts with the old datastores.

Since ingres, like sql server and h2, did not have an old datastore you 
can avoid using the "NG" naming convention.
