+1 for this proposal, this is a never ending story. I would assist since I am the maintainer of the imagemosaic jdbc module.
There is a jira issue for this, please take a look and study the comments http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2905 To summarize the problems: 1) Oracle 10.1, 10.2 and 11.2 have different georaster apis 2) AFAIK the needed oracle jars are not in a public repository. The maven build job will break because of missing classes. You have to code the functionality using the oracle jars, test it, comment your code, rewrite the code using the java reflection API and test again.
