It only took me around a month to get this out there. Sorry for the delay.
The following is a Lean(Low Processing) Solution to population of a
FeatureCollection:
Minimal Testing.....
Attached is the LeanFeatureCollection.java
LeanFeatureSource.java
And part of a test program I built to run against it (DisplayPoint.java).
