Hi Frank
The current module contains two implementations of DataStore (one for WFS 1.0
and another for WFS 1.1).
The datastore factory handles the version negotiation and will create the
correct instance for the server you are contacting.
So I would highly recommend starting a new datastore from scratch - and then
gradually cut over to the new implementation when it is ready by updating the
wfs datastore factory.
For making a "new" WFSDataStore I would recommend using the ContentDataStore
superclass which is nice and clean, rather than the AbstractDataStore which has
gotten difficult over time.
I am your best source of information about the WFS 1.0 datastore; and gabriel
is your best source of information about the WFS 1.1 datastore.
I got the impression that Gabriel code for WFS 1.1 is good; the status is just
that he never got funding to implement WFS-T (ie write support).
