Hi,
that would be nice. There is already a .subCollection(Filter filter) function
but the same with a query would be nice.

Hi,
how many times did we say that FeatureCollection is hard to implement
because it has
so many methods to care for? Many.
However in processing I often find myself in the situation of wishing
for one more method
that is not there, pity pity: the ability to create a sub feature
collection by query.
Why:
- ability to shave off attributes
- setting the max number of features to be returned
- setting hints so that we can ask for a specific geometry factory and the
like
- (wishful thinking land mode on) eventually, in the future when Query
will be much more
powerful, asking for joins
What do you think? Just take it as wish list item for GeoTools 3.0 :-p
