[SVG Rendering] Multipolygon features split into single svg elements - not
grouped anymore since 2.7 M3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOT-3535
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-3535
Project: GeoTools
Issue Type: Wish
Components: core render
Affects Versions: 2.7-M3
Reporter: Alexander Karnstedt
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Attachments: export_m2_groupedpolygons.svg, export_m3_singlepaths.svg
Apparently from M2 to M3 there is a change of SVG rendering behaviour: in M2
(and before) SVG's contain grouped path's (g-Elements) for each multipolygon
feature. With M3 these elements split up as single path elements.
For using SVG's in cartographic post production, it is essential to have path's
from multipoylgon/multiline features organized into group elements. (For
instance a country with all it islands)
