The tutorial covers using AbstractDataStore to support returning a
FeatureStore. Right now this is set in the constructor.
When I went to set this based on the directory being writable I found the code
in gt-property does not match the more capable tutorial contents.
This "improvement" is simply to track the change of functionality and to warn
downstream processes that a change has occurred.
I find this one hard to believe; it looks like for at least 2.6.x and 2.7.x
PropertyDataStore has only supported writing via FeatureWriter?
