I mentioned this method I had added in a post regarding app-schema and a couple
of folks said it sounded useful, so here it is.
Caveat - There is some vague memory in my head telling me that I didn't submit
it immediately for a reason, but now I can't remember what that reason was. So
please take a look and make sure I am not doing something dumb or am missing a
significant use case. Sorry - it's been a rough couple of weeks on other
projects. ;-)
