Hi Pieter:
Adding a page based on the contents you sent me; however part of the request is
to make sure we have you set up with commit access (and answer questions about
how you can adjust the GeoTools documentation pages).
I have adjust your text to be a bit more a bout the classes you want developers
to use (FilterService etc...). I have also added your logo and a link to the
project at the top of the page in a side bar.
I am also going to restore the logos to the "About" page of the GeoTools
project; and add GeoMajas there (the idea being that to be listed a project
needs to contribute a welcome page to the documentation).
Could I request a code example for the GeoService class? The idea with
documentation is to let developers cut and paste into their application.
Is there any geotools documentation that your developers are always going to be
interested in? We can link to it from this page.
An example would be:
- a link to the ECQL documentation; as you indicated that FilterService somehow
makes that available.
Finally it seems from your description that GeoService is able to contribute
additional transformation (and account for transformable areas) to avoid
transformation exceptions? Is there any way to contribute this back to the
GeoTools project as it sounds like useful funcitonaly.
For your own reference you should enter the discussion around OSGi as it should
have a positive effect on your project?
