I think it is more that we want a member of the PMC to review it and report
back to the PMC that yes this module meets our IP check. Since you wear that
hat it should be okay?
Basically I am of two minds about moving stuff to supported (perhaps based on
if I am doing the work?):
#1) I would like you to be able to follow the checklist and be done; nice fixed
price, you are entirely in control, now review or vote needed, you meet the
standards for the library and you are done end of story
#2) This is the only opportunity for the for the PMC to do anything (code
review, ip check, etc...). So if they are happy trusting people #1 is fine, I
figure the PMC should be a bit involved as they are responsible to the osgeo
foundation for the contents of the library.
