Hi Simone, I did some investigations about integrating the jdbc stuff into your module.
The main difference is that imagemosaic is using SimpleFeatureType and the jdbc module uses sql native. As I started with the jdbc module, the new jdbc-ng modules did not exist, and the existing db2 implementation was not satisfactory for my needs. Using SimpleFeatureType is much better and I will try to migrate. The disadvantage is, that my xml config file breaks. No mapping entries needed, no epsg code has to be specified and so on. I know from some users sublcassing my access logic and doing their own implementation, we cannot remove the imagemosaicJDBC module. Proposal: We mark the jdbc module as deprecated and I will stop development. (Except bug fixing). On the other side, I will try to integrate the jdbc-ng stuff in your module.
