Thanks for kicking this along Andrea; you have been far more patient then me.
Keeping the project costs us volunteer effort; if a project really needed us to
stay at Java 5 they are welcome to join geotools-devel and help out.
(grumble grumble Java 6 is only going to last a year anyways)
