The Utils class of the ImageMosaic setup a 1x1 sample RenderedImage and store
it on disk through serialization by means of a SerializableRenderedImage.
That SerializableRenderedImage instance is never disposed.
Andrea was also suggesting to avoid the SerializableRenderedImage usage in
favor of a different way to store the sample image.
