Hi Pieter:
We have kept it around (it does compile; and there are actually two
implementations there) mostly to attract investment; we get several groups a
year looking into this issue - it is something we would like to see the wider
open source community take on as a topic. Indeed I have had four discussion
this year; one of which making it as far as phone calls :-)
You may also wish to review recent [email protected] email list conversations
on this topic; but for now please have a look at the docs.
Discussion and definition:
Two implementations (both have received extensive investment; but have no
active parties interested):
- http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/unsupported/jts-wrapper.html
You may also wish to talk to Tisham on this topic; we have spent a bit of time
discussing this topic off list.
