Well I kind of cheated; I rescued the content from our developers guide so it 
could be more agile.
(I did also update the developers guide; and assigned a bunch of stuff to Ben 
for review - thanks Ben).

I am not sure; I think it is mostly fixed; except for when you make a new tag; 
I will update the description
for now; and we can try and check the next time we tag.
(It does normally work out if you are online and the javadoc jar has been

I updated the example to refer to the current repositories (it still had

I remember that from the release procedure ... updated the page; and remove the 
warnings about using Java 6..

I tried to do that; since this is a user guide for the latest (i.e. GeoTools 8 
); made the note that GeoTools 8 uses Java 6.
