Hello list,
I have been working on the Eclipse Quickstart and hit a little problem with
MapContext and MapContent.
It seems that between 8.0-M1 and the current SNAPSHOT MapContext was
deprecated and JMapFrame.showMap() now takes a MapContent. The Quickstart
instructions reflect the correct way to do things using the SNAPSHOT however
the don't work with 8.0-M1 (The version they tell you to use). It was my
understanding that the docks and tutorials are meant to reflect the way we
use the current stable release not the snapshot. Am I correct in this
thinking?
In the interest of keeping tutorials up to date is it worth saying that they
will always work off the SNAPSHOT not current stable release? Or
do tutorials only need to be updated as a release us made?
I am only new to the project so I may just be confusing myself. Thoughts and
clarifications would be appreciated.
