Evidently my first attempt was moderated out of existence; I don't know
whether I sent it too soon after getting confirmation I'm on the list or
whether I was wrong to explain the problem.
The short version: there's a bug in
org.geotools.process.raster.RasterToVectorProcess. Line 427 should be
changed from
c.y = ringC.y;
to
c.y = ringC.y + cellWidthY / 2;
