Implemented Van der Grinten projection
--------------------------------------

                 Key: GEOT-3897
                 URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-3897
             Project: GeoTools
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: coverage, referencing
    Affects Versions: 2.7.2
         Environment: OS X 10.6.8, Java 1.6.0_26
            Reporter: Simon Nyvlt
            Assignee: Simone Giannecchini
            Priority: Trivial
             Fix For: 2.7.4
         Attachments: vandg_projection.diff

As I posted in the users mailing-list on September the 29th ("Error in
GeoTIFF-module, reading Van der Grinten projection") I was trying to add
GeoTIFFs in Van der Grinten projection to geoserver. As that is not supported
yet, I sticked to the "How to add new projections"-manual and implemented the
projection. All tests succeeded but I still could not handle my GeoTIFFs so I
did some debugging and found out that adding vandg to
GeoTiffMetadata2CRSAdapter solved that issue. So far I have been able to add
all my vandg GeoTIFFs as a datasource to geoserver. I will attach the patch and
I hope you can add it to feature releases to help others that might face the
same issue. I was working on the current stable release, so my patch is tested
only on version 2.7.2.
