Thanks Jody - the test passes for me too now.

Just for my benefit, can you explain how this fix works ?  I was
expecting that the time zone would have to be aligned with the one
specified in H2FilterToSQL (line 209-211):

        // Set DATE_FORMAT time zone to GMT, as Date's are always in
GMT internaly. Otherwise we'll
        // get a local timezone encoding regardless of the actual Date
value
        DATE_FORMAT.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));
