Hi all,

Just been getting into Geotools / Maven / Eclipse, and trying to
remember my Java-fu from years ago. ;)

I have a strange issue where when I run the Geotools tutorial, I get
many alerts in dialog boxes, asking me to approve / disallow applet
access to files. It doesn't appear to have an option to remember my
choice. :(

I eventually narrowed it down to
http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-us/1037888.aspx (Some files
and folders are added to the .Jar files after passing through
InterScan Web Security Suite). Sure enough, it worked when I deleted
~/.m2/repository, and redid the tutorial.

I have asked for my corporate firewall to be fixed, but it's somewhat
unlikely. The link above suggests that the issue is only with
*unsigned* .jar files. Are the Geotools files unsigned, and if so is
it possible to sign them? It might stop other people suffering with
this in the future.

I would have reported a bug on jira, but my user account (antgel) is
very old and I can't get a password reminder. Would really appreciate
it if someone could get in touch with them and get my old email
address (antony (at) wayforth.co.uk) changed to this one. I don't
want to have several accounts.

Thanks for reading and hope to get some useful feedback.

Antony
