Description:

SQL server does not provide any good native way to figure out the geometry type of a empty table, and inspecting the first geometry in the table is sometimes a poor surrogate, since the table might contain geometries of different types. Have a geometry_columns similar to what suggested by the Simple Feature for SQL specification (but equal to the one we're already using for Oracle, H2 and friends)
