1) GeoTools 9.0-beta1
A couple last minute changes
- mageMosaic bands and dimension management improvements
- documentation placeholder for gt-complex (any code example?)
- promote gt-grid to extension
Release ongoing, produced product zip fails to build (wfs client build
failure).
2) GeoServer 2.3-beta1
Should be straight forward, we handled the outstanding proposals etc..
3) Remaining Change Requests
- GSIP 70: what's up with it? Ask on ml, if nobody answers, kill it
- GSIP 89 Creative Commons with Attribution (waiting on vote, ben+1) Jukka

- GSIP 81 - GetLegendGraphic as text (JSON)
- GSIP 83 - REST Extensible and customizable versions report (done,
pending backport)
- GSIP 84 - Control how layer groups are exposed in the WMS capabilities
document (done, update wiki!)
- GSIP 85 - Nested layer groups (done, update wiki!)
- GSIP 89 Creative Commons with Attribution
- GSIP 91 - Enhance authentication filter chain configuration (committed
too, wiki update?)
Questions:
- GSIP 76 - Extend REST API to configure settings and OWS services (done!
mark completed)
- Xerces: Did this get a change proposal? (did this happen at all?). Ben &
Justin have worked on a branch, no further update. Will it make 2.3? Nope
it looks like it will wait for 2.4 ...
Action:
- Jody to update GSIP wiki based on above discussion.
- Ben to ask Justin about Xerces
4) Branch for Beta?
Andrea: Yes - marks a feature freeze.
Jody: Round up volunteers first (hudson builds, etc...)
Ben: Branch it!
Andrea: We are one month late on branching (since Dec release was missed)
Fix prior to branch:
- Headers change to OpenPlans
Action:
- Andrea to round up volunteers to work on hudson (schedule new targets
etc..). Shall we drop 2.1.x
5) OSGeo Incubation
- Header change to OpenPlans (justin?)
- states.shp: Waiting on check for states.shp (agreement USA census data
from GeoTools).
- Tasmania data: Cameron provided a license on Jan 2nd that require license
(add to data directory README.RST)
- GSIP 89 Creative Commons with Attribution (waiting on vote)
Action:
- Andrea to update README.RST (thanks!)
- Jody to ask Justin about header (decision was made on email about what to
change it to)
5) Generated/Dynamic Layers
Email discussion covers it, anything to add in the meeting?
Language:
- dynamic: process is defined or referenced as part of the request (scary
from security standpoint). Example: Include GeoScript script as part of WFS
Pull Request
- generated: declare slots up front, and populate them with results of
background/scheduled process (or perhaps user interaction). Results in a
normal layer that happens to have its data managed behind the scenes. Could
have the option to "cache" similar to a materialized view.
- volatile <-- similar to WPS temporary results that evaporate after a set
time period (or data volume)
