I tested here (with repo on an SSD, code an a HDD):
Before: 2:18.085s
After: 2:00.045s

The documentation is unaffected, it will refer to the source code examples in
other modules but does not require a checkout.Any modules it actually needs
compiled first are marked down as a dependency.
