Issue Type: Bug Bug
Affects Versions: 10.0
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Attachments: TEST_Csv2Shape_Tutorial.zip
Components: shapefile plugin
Created: 14/Oct/13 4:05 AM
Description:

Running the TutorialCode of Feature Tutorial csv2shp.java:
http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/tutorial/feature/csv2shp.html
The Code will produce a shapefile, it has a correct dbf but it seem that the Geometry isn't correct. The read in csv Lat-Lon data isn't viewable using either the geotools viewer from Quicktutor, ArcGIS 10.1 or Q-GIS 1.7,1.8. If calculating the Coordinates all the results are: Lat 1, long1
I Tried do switch to ETRS89 CRS [larger Coordinate-Numbers] but the identical result...all coordinates were just 1.
In the atached code I Tried to check if everything is saved correct into the used objects, which is the case...so the trouble seem to be behind that Tutor Code. User "Suri", did try in 9.3 were it works, his tries in 10.0. resulting in equal errors " In geotools 10.0 writing a shape file is not working at all i tried to write polygons but it failed .And viewing a shape file is not a problem (if it is not generated with 10.0)"

When Running the Tutorial example no errro occurs, just that corrupted shapefile.
During running the CRS Example, the written Shapefile has the correct CRS but ther'e no data inside everything of bc_border is just 1kb in size [that case is not included here]

all Informations should be in the uploaded zip, If there's something missing, let me know...
