SLD/SE 1.1  does not say anything about it either, so I let it rest.

If/when Nuno goes on with the patch to make the dash array an Expression we
can revisit that (and I'm
leaning towards having to repeat the unit for each item in the array)

Right, that was a surprise for me too, actually spent some time trying to
understand what I was doing wrong to make
the encoder misbehave ... :-p
