I have not much experience with git or any other versioning tool. Maybe i will need a little help with that. But for the moment i have everything i need.

Sounds like you have both things sorted - talked to the module maintainer (hi Andrea!) - and found the contributor agreement.

I am currently not working on the swt module, so I find it great if it
gets enhanced.
