Hmm... eh, I cannot think of a nice way, I was about to suggest parsing
both the old and new
names, while advertising only the new ones, but that will still have issues
with the auto-generated GeoServer config UI, which will not show
the old names anymore.
At the GeoServer level that could be solved by also creating a custom WFS
config UI that knows about the old
and new names, much like we have a custom UI for shapefiles, in GeoServer.
Not sure how uDig will handle that though, maybe the uDig devs just don't
care about
preserving backwards compatibility on existing projects?
