I would prefer to to go with your suggestion, we intend to make this a
system wide change.

I would also like to document these new classes (briefly!) on our geometry
<http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/library/jts/geometry.html> page.
Once you have them in I will see if I can update the class diagram.
