Hi all,
I would ask to the list if it could be possible to move some sub-modules
inside the coverage-experiment directory from Unsupported to Plugin. The
modules are: gt-coverage-api, gt-netcdf and gt-grib. This is not an API
change proposal.
These modules focus their attention on accessing Multidimensional formats
like NetCDF. For this reason we would rename the coverage-experiment
directory to coverage-multidim.
The first module is an API to use for working with multidimensional data.
Its classes can be used for creating a new plugin supporting a new
multidimensional raster format.
The second module is a plugin for reading NetCDF data. Inner classes are
customized implementations of the API described above. This module contains
a dependency to the Java Unidata library for NetCDF.
The last module is a plugin for reading Grib data. This plugin only loads
the Unidata libraries for the Grib format and then internally calls the
NetCDF reader for accessing the Grib data.
We increased the code coverage for the whole directory to 60% and multiple
users have used the following modules.
Two other modules called gt-geotiff-ported and gt-hdf4 are present inside
the coverage-experiment directory. Currently these two modules will stay in
unsupported land because they need a deep review.
