I have a GeoTools workshop for foss4g, and am getting ready a new/improved
tutorial. My co-presenter Tom Kunicki has a fair bit of experience writing
DataStores .. but has not been heavily involved on the community side of
things. I will be also working with Eva Shon who will be running QA :)

I would like to nominate Tom for the limited commit access we usually use
for community modules, in this case he would be joining me working on the
doc module (in a foss4g branch, we will merge after foss4g given the code
freeze).

The workshop is built around the CSV datastore (extending
ContentDataStore). I note that the GeoServer importer extension has taken a
fork of this codebase in order to introduce strategies for different
geometry encodings. I may have a couple of request later in the week to
geoserver-devel accessing for some of this work to be donated to GeoTools.

Tom: Assuming we get a +1 I will need to ensure you have a contribution
agreement sent to OSGeo as per developers guide instructions
<http://docs.geotools.org/latest/developer/procedures/contribution_license.html>
