We actually achieved to generate KML 2.2 from a simple feature collection,
dumping the attributes into ExtendedData as well. Would it be interesting
for you guys to polish things, then propose a PR ? Since we were both
pretty new to the libs involved in GeoTools we are not really confident for
now about the produced code, but some feedback will be very welcomed, and
we would be glad to share the work. The development have been made onto the
12.x branch.
