Can anyone think of a reason why including a DirectLayer in your MapContent would prevent the other layers getting labeled? It's, at present, a very simple layer that just colours the background in so I wasn't expecting it to break anything.
Before I go hunting with a debugger I just wondered if anyone else had seen this? or knew of any oddities with DirectLayers?
