I have been monitoring GEOT-5128

AbstractDataStore and friends - currently in use by the gt-wfs module. We
have a "new" wfs-ng implementation based on ContentDataStore - that is
waiting on a firm thumbs up (or a series of bug reports) in order to take
over duties.
Are there any known wfs-ng issues that need to be addressed? Searching jira

I
find 56 open issues against the wfs plugin - relatively few against the
wfs-ng plugin (perhaps due to lack of use).
