Arial is a proprietary font that is typically only available on Windows and macOS. Open source platforms will usually substitute a font with similar metrics, such as Liberation Sans, but you do not know which font will be used. Substituted fonts are often different enough to make some gt-render perceptualdiff tests fail. Please use Vera for tests that depend on font shapes.
