Hi Ian,
normally Jody lays down a cost comparative between the two approaches,
and doing it on our own normally takes the cost down (especially so when
done on the US side).
Also, our sprint model normally sponsors the heavy costs (travel and
accommodation), subsidizes
the place, because it's normally the office of a participating company, and
leaves out only the cheap stuff (food, leisure),
meaning that companies sending us there do not have to take other costs in
addition to lost revenue.
Long story short, if we go to Bonn, there might be few of us joining....
I'd suggest
we do a comparison anyways.
Personally I'd rather be more interested in discussing the topic of the
sprint.
