Hi Nikolaos,
angles are surely more flexible, but not as clear as names, as one needs
the direction of starting angle, e.g., where 0 points (up? on the right?)
(we have had bug reports in the past about this for symbol rotation, which
is expressed as an angle, some valid, some not, just as a reference
that people might get confused with them).
Hopefully N,E,S,W,NE,NW,SE,SW should be clearer to most (and they are the 8
positions included in the papers anyways).
Or maybe follow mapserver nomeclature, to avoid creating a new one, which
would be ul,uc,ur,cl,cc,cr,ll,lc,lr (up, low, center, left, right)
