Sure, the tolerance increase sounds fine for now. I am just suggesting a long term fix that we might consider.

I see the failure even with this environment variable set. I am using
OpenJDK 8u151-b12-1 on debian/sid. Turning off text antialiasing might be
the best option for these tests.
