Hum... that would require a custom client though, one that knows the
special URL and can figure out the right values.
Last time we discussed this it was at the GeoTools level, the outcome was
to make these styles available as a part
of a *Info object attached to a FeatureSource right?
I'd suggest to go on this way, and then maybe add a counterpart in
GeoServer, a NativeStyleInfo maybe, sub-interface
of StyleInfo, that does not only have a name, but also a reference to the
store/source where the style comes from.
This would make it look like a normal style to most of the system, we'd
just have to pay attention about removing
these styles when the source/store is gone (in the cascading delete
machinery)
