Hello All, Spatialite was discussed a bit in today's PMC meeting, mainly with how it interacts with Java 11. It is is not currently compatible with Java 11 (due to some split-package issues, and generally being old).
We would like to have a Java 11 Milestone release out sometime in December; Spatialite is currently not ready for this. For the interim, I see two options: 1. Remove spatialite from build until it is fully maintained again 2. Move it to unsupported and remove from build until it is maintained again, then discuss returning to supported once it is maintained. If Andrea is going to start taking a look at this module in January, then #2 seems to involve a bit too much unnecessary work. Does anyone have objections do disabling the Spatialite module for now (prior to the upcoming Java 11 milestone release), and revisit re-enabling it prior to the official 21.0 release in the Spring?
